Velvet Care
01
Wash
Velvet care requires a delicate approach. Most velvet can be machine washed on a delicate cycle with cold water and a mild detergent, but it’s best to check the garment label first. Hand washing is also an option, using a gentle soap and cool water. When washing, avoid harsh chemicals and fabric softeners, as they can damage the fabric.

02
Dry
Line drying in the shade is preferred method. To dry, ensure the fabric is laid flat with the velvet side facing up. If you can wait for a cool, cloudy day, hang your velvet inside to dry. Direct sunlight will cause the colour to fade (especially in darker colours.) If you prefer to tumble dry, keep the setting cool.
03
Iron… or not?
you can iron your velvet. We recommend ironing on reverse on a cool setting. Always allow the fabric time to dry completely before ironing or steaming.
